I created this blog and I’m the co-founder of Italian movement “Sruotiamoci: Chronic Spinal Cord Injury Must Become Curable”
I am also vice president of “Marina Romoli Onlus”, (web site is just in italian) an italian association that raises money for research to find a cure for chronic SCI.
Sono paraplegica dal 2001. Ho creato il blog delle “Cure Girls” e sono la co-fondatrice del Movimento “Sruotiamoci: La Lesione Spinale Cronica Deve Diventare Curabile!”
Sono anche la Vice presidente della “Marina Romoli Onlus” un’associazione italiana che raccoglie fondi per la ricerca di una cura delle Lesioni spinali croniche.

Marina was a promising cyclist. She was hit by a car while training in June 2010 and has bee
n confined to a wheelchair ever since; she is determined to return to cycling.
She founded the Marina Romoli Onlus (non-profit organization) http://www.marinaromolionlus.org/2013/ to support Chronic Spinal Cord Injury Cure Research.
Marina era una promessa del ciclismo. Nel 2010, durante un allenamento, è stata investita da un auto e da allora è costretta su di una sedia a rotelle. Lei è determinata a tornare al ciclismo. Ha fondato la Marina Romoli Onlus (Ente non-profit) http://www.marinaromolionlus.org/2013/ per supportare la ricerca di una cura per le lesioni spinali croniche.

It was in may 2008 when she fell off a swing that simulates surf in the air. In a few seconds Sabrina became totally paralysed from the shoulders down. She works, has physiotherapy, travels, but she needs somebody by her side 24/7. It’s unworthy and only she can feel this pain. Sabrina has a dream: a CURE for spinal cord injury.
Nel maggio del 2008, è caduta da “un’altalena” che simula il surf ma in aria. E in pochi secondi è diventata totalmente paralizzata dalle spalle in giù. Lavora, viaggia, fa fisioterapia, ma ha bisogno che qualcuno stia al suo fianco 24 ore su 24. Questo per Lei è qualcosa di indegno e doloroso. Sabrina ha un sogno: che si trovi una CURA per le Lesioni Spinali Croniche.
